In 2011, Ellen Hodgson Brown founded the Public Banking Institute (PBI) to promote research and advocacy of public banks. In 2007, she had published, Web of Debt, which offers a clear view of what is actually going on in the financial circles that control this planet. This book describes the monetary systems of the United States from colonial times, when beginning in the 1720s a debt-free monetary system - based on money printed by the colonial government according to the needs of the population – provided a socially successful system which thrived in the middle colonies and was influenced largely by the “Pennsylvania Plan” of 1723. This Plan was praised by Adam Smith in The Wealth of Nations (1776) :
The government of Pennsylvania,, without amassing any treasure [gold or silver], invented a method of lending, not money indeed, but what is equivalent of money to its subjects. By advancing to private people at interest, and upon land security [as collateral], paper bills of credit . . . made transferable from hand to hand like bank notes, and declared by act of assembly to be legal tender in all payments from one inhabitant to another, it raised a moderate revenue which went a considerable way toward defraying . . . the whole ordinary expense of that frugal and orderly government.
. . . [Pennsylvania 's] paper currency . . . is said never to have sunk below the value of gold and silver which was current in the colony before . . . the issue of paper money.[cited by Brown, pp.39-40)
Brown's book includes, also, the indispensible history
of financial power in the USA as well as the earlier history of financial developments
in the UK, beginning with the Bank of England in 1694. In the “Foreword” to her book, Reed Simpson, member of the American
Bankers Association, cites President Franklin Delano Roosevelt in a letter
dated November 23, 1933 and addressed to Edward Mandell
House - who in 1913, helped to pick the
charter members of the original Federal Reserve Board :
The
real truth of the matter is, as you and I know, that a financial element in the
large centers has owned the Government ever since the days of Andrew Jackson.(p.xii)
Bankers,
Simpson admits in this short essay, have very little understanding of the whole
picture of decision-making processes in their field; they are stuck in “their
own corner of the banking business.” He is apparently an exception to this
rule, and his interest in history has lead him to the financial policy of US President
Abraham Lincoln at the time of the War of Succession (1861-1865), a strategic
moment when the Bank of England sought profit from both sides of the war by lending the much needed money to both the US
Federal Government and to the Confederacy.
According to Simpson, The London Times
published an editorial against Lincoln’s refusal of the Bank of England's offer and his decision to institute a debt-free
"Greenback" policy, which temporarily put an end to the “debt-money fractional
reserve banking system” and returned to the colonial
system of debt-free money, continued
in some of the newly independent states for nearly a hundred years after the War of Independence.
If
that mischievous financial policy which had its origin in the North American
Republic during the late war in that country, should become indurated
down to a fixture, then that Government will furnish its own money without
cost. It will pay off its debts and be without debt. It will become prosperous
beyond precedent in the history of the civilized governments of the world. The
brains and wealth of all counties will go to North America. That government
must be destroyed or it will destroy every monarchy on the globe.(p.xiv)
In
her introduction to this book, Ellen Brown outlines its thesis : a “web of deceit has engulfed us in debt.” Her argument being that the
solution for this problem of debt bondage created by bankers dates back to the US Constitution (1787-1791), and
the prior colonial period : “the power to create money needs to be returned to the government and
the people it represents.”
The
federal debt could be paid, income taxes could be eliminated, and social
programs could be expanded; and this could all be done without imposing
austerity measures on the people or sparking runaway inflation. Utopian as this
may sound, it represents the thinking of some of America’s brightest and best,
historical and contemporary, including: Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson and
Benjamin Franklin.(p.3)
With
the Currency Act of 1764, the British Parliament prohibited the issuance of
paper currency in any of the colonies. British merchants protested the
payment of debts in anything but sterling money “of certain and fixed value.”
The Currency Act made it necessary for the colonial legislatures to raise taxes
in order to redeem the bills of credit that had been used to pay debts during
the French and Indian War (1754-1763).
In 1766, Benjamin Franklin informed British officials that this
restraint on paper currency in the colonies was “one of the principle causes of
the American Revolution.”
In
the early part of the 18th century in America, the colony of
Pennsylvania had pioneered this approach of publically owned banks, where fiat
money - that is, paper money the value of which is based solely on faith in
the issuing party rather than on any concrete asset – was recognized as
legitimate currency. Today, one state in the United States has re-introduced
this system of public ownership with considerable success: The Bank of
North Dakota (BND) is a state-owned-run financial
institution, based in Bismarck, North Dakota, with some 100 branch banks. The
policy has been in practice since 1919, and the practically debt-free society
enjoys the benefits
of government issued money which is distributed at low interest rates.

are two roads leading to the Abraham Mosque in Hebron, Palestine. The roads are
side by side, separated only by a fence and barbed wire. One of the roads is
for the Jewish settlers of Hebron, and the other is for the Palestinians.

settler’s side is a nice, clean, asphalt-paved road, easily accessible for
everyone, including the elderly and those with disabilities. The Palestinians’
side is a narrow, uneven dirt path, littered with trash and rubble, and unfit
for walking. These dual paths are known as “Apartheid Road” to local
Palestinians and international activists, and they serve as metaphor for the
larger systematic apartheid of Hebron.

This is
what the editor of Haaretz’s Culture and Literature
supplement, Benny Ziffer, wrote on his Facebook page upon returning from paying a condolence call
in the settlement of Ofra: “En route I looked at the
Palestinian villages alongside the Jewish communities, and I thought of how for
the Palestinians murder is a type of sport or enjoyment, perhaps a substitute
for erotica. From that perspective we will never have anything culturally in
common with them.”
And if that weren’t enough, Ziffer also wrote, “Regarding
this evil and undignified people living among us, we can only yearn for the
land to vomit it out, because it isn’t worthy of this land, which is full of
Jewish blood that it has spilled.”
His post generated no comment. Ziffer has apparently
exhausted his allotted attention. By contrast, Yaron
London succeeded in raising a bigger momentary storm with less serious remarks:
“Arabs are savages … they don’t only hate Jews, they kill their own first and
foremost.”
More than one straight line connects London and Ziffer.
Their comments reflect the spirit of the times in Israel.
Both were once considered leftists; the unbridled right still considers London
to be one. Both are extraordinarily talented, brilliant intellectuals, of
enviable erudition. Sometimes it’s tempting to say that because of their rare
media talent their remarks should be forgiven, lest we be left with Ayala Hasson and Yaakov Bardugo. In
contrast to their images as avant garde,
they express what many people think, not to mention the majority opinion in
Israel, which only the rules of political correctness keep from breaking out
into the consensus.
More than they are racists, London and Ziffer are
disseminating lies. I was sitting in London’s studio when he said his piece; I
tried to respond in real time but to no avail. So I will try here.
We examined the past decade; those murderous, bloodletting Palestinians, have
since January 2009 killed 190 Israelis. How many Palestinians were killed by
Israel, the seeker of peace and goodness, which will never have anything
culturally in common with the Arabs? Some 3,500.
Israel was 18 times more murderous. Was it for sport? Erotic
pleasure? Of course not, but the blood speaks: Israel draws far more of
it.

As the
18th anniversary of 9/11 approached, the arrest and alleged suicide of Jeffrey
Epstein made headlines—and raised questions about the credibility of official
narratives. As Eric Rasmusen <http://www.unz.com/article/questions-nobody-is-asking-about-jeffrey-epstein/> writes: “Everybody, it seems, in New York
society knew by 2000 that Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine
Maxwell were corrupting teenage girls, but the press wouldn’t cover it.”
Likewise, everybody in New York society has long known that Larry Silverstein,
who bought the asbestos-riddled white elephant World Trade Center in July 2001
and immediately doubled the insurance, is a mobbed-up friend of Netanyahu and a
confessed participant in the controlled demolition of Building 7 <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxmdYOorqs0> , from which
he earned over 700 million insurance dollars on the pretext that al-Qaeda had
somehow brought it down. But the press won’t cover that either.
The New
York Times, America’s newspaper of record, has the investigative talent and
resources to expose major corruption in New York. Why did the Times spend
almost two decades ignoring the all-too-obvious antics of Epstein and
Silverstein? Why is it letting the absurd tale of Epstein’s alleged suicide
stand? Why hasn’t it used the work of Architects and Engineers for 9/11
Truth—including the brand-new University of Alaska study on the controlled
demolition of WTC-7 <https://www.ae911truth.org/wtc7>
—to expose the biggest scandal of the 21st century, if not all of American
history?
The
only conceivable answer is that The New York Times is somehow complicit in
these monstrous crimes. It must be protecting its friends in high places. So
who are those friends, and where are those high places?
One
thing Epstein and Silverstein have in common, besides names ending in “-stein,”
is alleged involvement in the illicit sex industry. Epstein’s antics, or at
least some of them, are by now well-known. Not so for Silverstein, who
apparently began his rags-to-9/11-riches story as a pimp supplying prostitutes
and nude dancers to the shadier venues of NYC, alongside other illicit
activities including “the heroin trade, money laundering and New York Police

exposed in a mid-1990s lawsuit. But good luck finding any
investigative reports in The New York Times.
Another
Epstein-Silverstein connection is their relationships to major American Jewish
organizations. Even while he was allegedly pimping
girls and running heroin, Larry Silverstein served as president for United
Jewish Appeal of New York. As for Epstein, he was the boy toy and protégé of
Les Wexner, co-founder of the Mega Group of Jewish
billionaires <https://www.mintpressnews.com/mega-group-maxwells-mossad-spy-story-jeffrey-epstein-scandal/261172/> associated with
the World Jewish Congress, the Anti-Defamation League, and other pro-Israel
groups. Indeed, there is no evidence that “self-made billionaire” Epstein ever
earned significant amounts of money; his only investment “client” was Les Wexner. Epstein, a professional sexual blackmailer, used
his supposed billionaire status as a cover story. In fact, he was just an
employee working for Wexner and associated criminal/intelligence
networks.
Which
brings us to the third and most important Epstein-Silverstein similarity: They
were both close to the government of Israel. Jeffrey Epstein’s handler was Ghislaine Maxwell, daughter of Mossad
super-spy Robert Maxwell; among his friends was Ehud Barak, who is currently
challenging Netanyahu for leadership of Israel. Larry Silverstein, too, has
friends in high Israeli places. According to Haaretz

Silverstein has “close ties with Netanyahu” (speaking to him on the phone every
weekend) as well as with Ehud Barak, “whom Silverstein in the past offered a
job as his representative in Israel” and who called Silverstein immediately
after 9/11.
We may
reasonably surmise that both Jeffrey Epstein and Larry Silverstein have been
carrying on very important work on behalf of the state of Israel. And we may
also surmise that this is the reason The New York Times has been covering up
the scandals associated with both Israeli agents for almost two decades. The
Times, though it pretends to be America’s newspaper of record, has always been
Jewish-owned-and-operated. Its coverage has always been grotesquely distorted
in favor of Israel <https://ifamericansknew.org/media/nyt-report.html> . It has no interest in exposing the way Israel
controls the United States by blackmailing its leaders (Epstein) and staging a
fake “Arab-Muslim attack on America” (Silverstein). The awful truth is that The
New York Times is part of the same Jewish-Zionist “we control America <https://www.wrmea.org/old-html/sharon-to-peres-don-t-worry-about-american-pressure-we-control-america.html> ” network as Jeffrey Epstein and Larry Silverstein.

“Suicide” Illustrates Zionist Control of USA—and the Decadence and Depravity of
Western Secularism
Since
The New York Times and other mainstream media won’t go there, let’s reflect on
the facts and lessons of the Jeffrey Epstein suicide scandal—a national
disgrace that ought to shock Americans into rethinking their worldviews in
general, and their views on the official myth of 9/11 in particular.

Saturday, August 10, 2019, convicted child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein was

So who was Epstein working for? His primary employer
was undoubtedly the Israeli Mossad and its worldwide
Zionist crime network. Epstein’s handler was Ghislaine
Maxwell, daughter of Mossad super-spy Robert Maxwell.
According to sworn depositions, Ghislaine Maxwell
recruited underage girls for Epstein and oversaw his sex trafficking

unsealed on August 9th, it was alleged that Maxwell had been Epstein’s central
accomplice, first as his girlfriend, and, later, as his trusted friend and
procuress, grooming a steady stream of girls, some as young as fourteen,

Epstein to Occupied Palestine, where he will be given a facelift, a pension, a
luxury suite overlooking the Mediterranean, and a steady stream of young sex

heat wave blows over, Epstein will undoubtedly enjoy visits from his former Mossad handler Ghislaine Maxwell,

This is

But
didn’t the alleged autopsy reportedly find broken neck bones that are more
commonly associated with strangulation murders than suicides? That controversy

Epstein affair (like 9/11) illustrates two critically important truths about
Western secularism: there is no truth, and there are no limits. A society that
no longer believes in God no longer believes in truth, since God is al-haqq, THE truth, without Whom the
whole notion of truth has no metaphysical basis. The postmodern philosophers
understand this perfectly well. They taught a whole generation of Western
humanities scholars that truth is merely a function of power: people accept
something as “true” to the extent that they are forced by power to accept it.
So when the most powerful people in the world insist that three enormous
steel-frame skyscrapers were blown to smithereens by relatively modest office
fires on 9/11, that absurd assertion becomes the official “truth” as
constructed by such Western institutions as governments, courts, media, and
academia. Likewise, the assertion that Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide under
circumstances that render that assertion absurd will probably become the
official “truth” as recorded and promulgated by the West’s ruling institutions,
even though nobody will ever really believe it.

Epstein’s career as a shameless, openly-operating Mossad

charged Russia made “multiple, systematic efforts to interfere in our election”
and said the incursion “deserves the attention of every American.”
But former FBI investigators say their old boss didn’t feel
the same concern when they uncovered multiple, systemic efforts by the Saudi
government to assist the hijackers in the lead-up to the 9/11 attacks — a far
more consequential, to say nothing of deadly, foreign influence operation on
America.
As the head of the FBI at the time, they say Mueller was not
nearly as interested in investigating that espionage conspiracy, which also
involved foreign intelligence officers. Far from it, the record shows he
covered up evidence pointing back to the Saudi Embassy and Riyadh — and may
have even misled Congress about what he knew.
9/11 victims agree. “He was the master when it came to
covering up the kingdom’s role in 9/11,” said survivor Sharon Premoli, who was pulled from the rubble of the World Trade
Center 18 years ago.
“In October of 2001, Mueller shut down the government’s
investigation after only three weeks, and then took part in the Bush [administration’s]
campaign to block, obfuscate and generally stop anything about Saudi Arabia
from being released,” added Premoli, now a plaintiff
in the 9/11 lawsuit against Saudi Arabia.
In fact, Mueller threw up roadblocks in the path of his own
investigators working the 9/11 case, while making it easier for Saudi suspects

US sanctions are killing ordinary Iranians by the thousands.
Through its control over the world banking system, America’s sanctioning power
flouts international human rights law and poses a threat to the world.
Iranian
foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif
recently visited the Group of Seven (G7) at the
invitation of French president Emmanuel Macron, in what was seen as an overture
to the Trump administration to negotiate over sanctions that have plagued the
Iranian economy. Back in 2018, after months of increasingly hostile rhetoric,
the US government withdrew from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, or
“Iran Deal,” and imposed a “maximum pressure” campaign that included unilateral,
economy-wide sanctions. The Iran Deal was an agreement that provided Iran
relief from existing sanctions in exchange for limits on its enrichment of
uranium, among other concessions. These sanctions hampered trade between the
European Union, whose leaders have sought to salvage the Iran Deal.
When President Trump reimposed
sanctions in November 2018, it cut off Iran’s oil exports and access to the
international financial system. At the time, he announced that Iran could
either comply with new US demands or face “economic isolation.” Additional US sanctions imposed
since then have specifically targeted a thousand individuals and entities with the goal of
reducing Iran’s oil revenues to “zero.” More recently, Trump said that although “[Iran’s] economy is crashing . . . it’s very easy to
straighten [it] out, or it’s very easy for us to make it a lot worse.”
And so, according to Trump himself, the United States has the
power to solve — or exacerbate — Iran’s current economic problems. What is left
unsaid, including by much of the media, is that sanctions that “crash” the
economy are an attack on the country’s civilian population and create
widespread human misery. Indeed, they appear to be contributing to widespread shortages of medicine and medical equipment,
particularly affecting cancer patients. In Venezuela, which is under a similar
US sanctions regime, there have been similar effects, with more than 40,000 people estimated to have died from 2017 to 2018
due to the “collective punishment” inflicted on them.
Yet other statements from US administration officials often
contend that sanctions have negligible economic or social effects on the
general population of Iran. For example, the US State Department’s special
representative for Iran, Brian Hook, recently denied that US sanctions on Iran affect the availability
of medicine and agricultural products. In this argument, Hook divorces the
connection between the economic damage caused by sanctions in Iran and the lack
of basic necessities like medicine and food, preferring to instead lay
blame on the Iranian government, not on what the Trump administration calls
“targeted” sanctions.

We
have entered an ominous age of political conformity. Support is growing for a right-wing populism that views liberal democracy as both
an anachronism and a curse. Meanwhile, many of those who oppose this growth of
the right wing are turning to a left-wing populism that is dangerously
susceptible to the same patterns of demagoguery and discourses of unity and
exclusion.
The
signposts are clear. Across the globe, politicians spew out inordinate
incitements of hatred and bigotry, while legitimating and often overtly
supporting racism. Liberals cling to notions of freedom and liberty that ignore
the power of capital to turn such terms into their opposite. The mainstream
media measure the task of pursuing the truth against how their bottom line is
affected.
What
has emerged out of this abyss of rising authoritarian power and its politics of
depoliticization is the depredations of an updated
version of fascist politics and the normalization of a rising tide of cruel and
habituated ignorance. Habit normalized in a politics that destroys notions of
informed agency and self-determination now merges ignorance and hatred. One
result is the growing support for right-wing populism, which views individuals
and populations displaced by global forces and deprived of the most basic means
of existence — including food, shelter and pure water — with disdain and
hatred. The late Russian writer and journalist Vasily
Grossman issued a warning from another time that seems equally appropriate
today. He writes:
How mighty, how terrible, and how
kind is the power of habit! People can get used to anything — the sea,
the
southern stars, love, a bunk in a prison, the barbed wire of the camps.… What
creates this abyss
is
the power of habit. Dull as it seems, it is as powerful as dynamite; it can
destroy anything. Passion,
hatred,
grief, pain — habit can destroy them all.

NANTES, France (Reuters) - Hundreds of demonstrators faced police
in a tense stand-off in the French city of Nantes on Saturday as revived
"yellow vest" protests against the government of President Emmanuel
Macron took place across the country.
Police responded with tear gas after some protesters threw
projectiles. A spokesman with the local prefecture said 21 people had been
arrested.
Television footage showed groups of black-clad protesters
trying to break into shops, while police trucks carrying water cannon were seen
arriving on scene.
The Gilets Jaunes
(yellow vest) protests, named after motorists' high-visibility jackets, began
over fuel tax increases but morphed into a sometimes violent revolt against
Macron and a government they see as out of touch.
The president has sought to ease tensions with 17 billion euros (£15.05 billion) of countermeasures to boost the
monthly minimum wage, remove some taxes, and offer relief to poor retirees. But
he faces a new round of anger with a long-awaited reform that seeks to merge
France's 42 different pension systems into a single points-based system.
Parisian commuters faced travel misery on Friday as metro
workers went on strike over plans to reduce their retirement privileges.
