Subject: On despising “public welfare” and sanctifying “private greed” during the capitalist meltdown.
Dear Colleagues and Friends of CEIMSA,
The war against the poor has escalated as the world’s
oligarchs, guided by the private profit motive, struggle for world domination.
We have entered a period of extreme economic irrationality, and built into this
system is a self-destructive instinct that favors passive acceptance. We lack
leaders, strategists, and above all honest allies, who can put to shame the
phony opportunists who try to pass themselves off as “progressive leaders.”
As you can see in the 20 items below, the
very notion of credibility is in crisis today, while the most informed voices
are either silenced or drowned out in a din of noise from the corporate media,
signifying nothing.
The only thing between us and full blown Fascism,
according to many critics, is the relentless search for truth.
